What We Do
After-School
For more than 40 years, NIA has provided free after-school and summer programs across Brooklyn and beyond. We offer students engaging learning opportunities to support them academically, emotionally, and creatively.
Community Centers
Our Beacon and Cornerstone Community Centers offer a variety of engaging year-round programs for adults and young people. Enjoy activities ranging from weekend yoga classes to evening Adult Literacy classes.
Events
Ranging from our free Summer Concert Series to our exciting Annual Halloween Festivals, NIA proudly hosts over 25 free community events each year, ensuring that there's always something fun for everyone to enjoy.
Family Services
Discover a wealth of family services with NIA in partnership with the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) and Department of Youth & Community Development (DYCD) tailored for Brooklyn communities.
Social Services
NIA offers a range of social services designed to meet the evolving needs of our community. We are available in person or through remote channels to answer your questions and provide support.
Senior Services
NIA offers essential social services for seniors, including Medicare prescription drug coverage, HEAP, Access-A-Ride, flu vaccination programs, healthcare proxies, and more.
